Unmaintained swimming pools provide breeding areas for mosquitos.  These mosquitos are not only a nuisance, but can also transmit certain diseases such as West Nile virus and Eastern Equine Encephalitis.  If you see an unmaintained swimming pool that contains stagnant water, please enter a service request through "My East Hartford", and an inspector from the Health Department will investigate.
