Leaves should never be burned and should not be placed in your regular trash barrel. Each fall there is a town wide curbside leaf collection program. During the collection period, residential properties may place loose leaves in neat piles by the curb to be picked up using the Town's leaf vacuums. Do not place tree branches or any other debris or garbage in the leaf piles. Leaves should not be placed in the roadway gutter or block drainage catch basins. Leaves may also be placed in biodegradable paper bags and either left at the curb during the collection period or dropped off at the transfer station. A leaf collection schedule is published each fall and can be found on the Public Works webpage beginning in October.
