Yes, there are certain items that are illegal to throw away in your regular trash. Curbside waste collection is intended for household waste. Never put the following items into your barrel:

Biological Waste
Hazardous Chemical Substances (See Household Haz Waste)
Radioactive Materials
Human or Animal Waste

Automotive Parts
Liquid Waste
Radioactive Medical Waste (check with your doctor or veterinarian)
Yard Waste (leaves, brush, grass clippings)
