Open Burning
Open burning for the purposes of disposing of waste material such as brush, limbs, leaves, or construction debris is only allowed with an Open Burning Permit. Other types of burning such as campfires, bonfires, or backyard chimineas do not require a permit, however they must be done in a safe, courteous, and neighborly fashion. If the smoke from one of these types of burning is causing a nuisance to other residents in the area, the Health Department may issue an order to cease the burning.
