The East Hartford Department of Public Works fills potholes as weather allows. Between November and April, potholes are filled with cold patch when dry weather allows. After May 1 each year, potholes are filled with permanent hot patch.
State roads are maintained by the Connecticut DOT. In East Hartford, state roads generally include:
- Main St (Rt. 5)
- Burnside Ave (Rt. 44)
- Silver Ln (Rt. 502)
- CT Blvd (Rt 44)
